I was fortunate to have a recent assignment in Taos, N.M which gave me time to wander back through the area once more. I am always struck with the sense of how many countless souls have walked this uneasy landscape, often seeking solace and grace on the thresholds of timbers and adobe of its churches. Ansel Adams stood on along side St Francis Church in 1929 to capture its striking portrait. It was the same year Georgia O'Keefe set up her easel and created a masterpiece from the distinctive southwestern architecture.
A very special thanks to Kenneth and Louise Blair for asking me to update their portfolio of images for their wonderful Sagebrush Inn and the two additional hotels they operate in Taos.
